Former India cricketer Arun Lal got married to Bulbul Saha on May 2 (Monday) in a private ceremony. The pictures of the couple’s wedding ceremony went viral on social media soon after they tied the knot. Lal had parted ways with his first wife Reena and had reportedly also taken her consent for the second marriage. It was also reported a few days ago that the former cricketer and Bulbul, who is a teacher by profession, will take care of Reena even after their marriage due to her illness.

Coming back to their marriage, the couple got hitched to each other on Monday (May 2) at 7 PM IST at Peerless Inn in Kolkata. Arun Lal wore a jacket and kurta pajama for the wedding, while Bulbul wore a saree as the duo looked good with each other on one of their precious days of life.

Pictures of their Haldi ceremony had also gone viral last week on April 26 when they had chosen a yellow attire. Both Arun and Bulbul were seen smiling in pictures, while the picture of their invitation card also went viral. Meanwhile, Bulbul Saha shared the pictures of her marriage with the former cricketer and the ceremony was attended by the family members of both of them.

As for Arun Lal, he is currently the head coach of the Bengal team and the team has done significantly well ever since he took over the reins of the side. They also made the finals of the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy against Saurashtra. Though the team didn’t win the trophy, the team was praised a lot for their excellent show throughout the tournament.

As far as the pictures are concerned, they were liked by many and both Arun Lal and BulBul Saha looked adorable and happy with each other. Their family members were also present at the ceremony.

Australia have finally won the trophy which has been eluding them all this while. Finch and co. ended up inscribing their names on the record books forever. They finally won their maiden T20 World Cup after years of struggle in this format.

While not many gave them a chance going into the tournament, they proved their critics wrong by winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The Aussies were on cloud 9 after this massive achievement. It took them 14 years, but the wait was worth it.

After winning the toss in the all-important final, the Aussies decided to follow the norm and chose to field first. Riding on a Kane Williamson special, the Kiwis managed to score 172. While the score did look tough, the Australian top order kept their calm.

Warner and Mitchell Marsh scored their respective fifties before the opener was dismissed on the second ball of the 12th over. This allowed the Australian number 3 batter and Maxwell to take their side over the line. While the equation came down to 4 off 8, the “Big Show” hit a reverse-sweep for a boundary. This ensured the Aussies don’t take the game to the last over and save the extra time for the celebrations for winning the ICC T20 WC 2021.

Thus, Australia finished things off in style and what followed was a passionate roar by the player of the match and Australia’s number 3 batter. Celebrations from the teammates were absolutely jubilant in nature. Maxwell and Marsh were seen hugging each other out of joy. They were later joined by Marcus Stoinis.

Captain Aaron Finch and Matthew Wade were seen enjoying their respective champagne. While the rest of the players were living the moment, Maxwell and his skipper were seen posing with the trophy. Stoinis was then seen clicking selfies and pictures with a few of his fellow teammates.

India star Jasprit Bumrah has set the internet on fire since announcing the news of his marriage to TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan. The reports of Bumrah’s wedding were doing the rounds since last month when he was released by Team India ahead of the fourth Test against England in Ahmedabad. While the BCCI and Bumrah did not reveal the reason behind his release, the fans and media were quick to find out the reason.

At first, the rumours linked the India pace spearhead with South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran before the reports were quashed by the latter’s mother. But it did not take the internet long to find out that Bumrah was going to tie the knot with Sanjana although the love birds kept the entire thing under the wraps.

Bumrah finally ended all the speculation surrounding his wedding on Monday. He announced the news of his marriage to Sanjana on his social media profiles. Sanjana also updated the fans about the wedding through a post on her social media profiles.

The couple posted adorable pictures from their wedding with the caption: “‘Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.’ Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana.”

Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan’s wedding was a private affair as less than two dozen guests were allowed for the event. The guests were reportedly asked not to carry their mobile phones for the ceremony as the couple wanted to keep the affair a secret. But with the wedding ceremony completed, the photos from the events have started surfacing on the internet.

For the wedding, Bumrah and Sanjana chose color-coordinated outfits by celebrity designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Bumrah wore a pale pink embroidered raw silk sherwani, paired with a tussar-georgette shawl and a violet neck piece while Sanjana wore a floral bridal lehenga done in peach colour.  She looked every inch of perfect in little heavy jewelry that complemented her attire. The best moments of their big day were captured by famed photographer Joseph Radhik while the fairytale decor was set up by Devika Narain and company.

Rishabh Pant hit a delivery from Josh Hazlewood down the ground at The Gabba and it sparked celebrations all over India. The Ajinkya Rahane-led side had done something special down under. Second consecutive series win in Australia, this time against the full-strength home side and without eight of their first-choice players on the tour. Moreover, they had also breached the fortress Gabba in a heroic way chasing down a mammoth 328.

If the architects of the historic victory were the youngsters and newcomers Rishabh Pant, Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar, and Shubman Gill, the experienced players like Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara played a huge role as well. With a lot of injuries in the Indian line-up, not many gave them any chance to even compete in the series forget winning a single Test.

But this team did wonders winning the series itself and most importantly, almost sealing India’s place in the final of the World Test Championship. The fans, expectedly, were delighted and even the elated BCCI soon announced the award of Rs 5 crore to the entire team.

After being in the bubble since August and facing a plethora of off-field changes in Australia, the victorious team India players landed in their country finally on January 21. And the welcome they got from the respective state associations and the fans at the airport was overwhelming. The likes of Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Ravi Shastri, Prithvi Shaw and Shardul Thakur were greeted at the Mumbai Airport by the officials of the MCA.

He landed in Bengaluru first and then took off for his village in Tamil Nadu’s Salem where the fans thronged to get a glimpse of Natarajan. Shardul Thakur, after his 10-ball Test debut, finally got a chance to play his second Test and he didn’t miss out on leaving his mark. He scored 69 runs and picked seven wickets in the Brisbane Test playing a crucial role in helping India making a comeback in the first innings.

When he reached his hometown, firecrackers were burnt and then was welcomed by his parents in a proper Maharashtrian way. The same happened with yet another debutant Washington Sundar while the hero of Sydney and Brisbane, Rishabh Pant was received by journalists with good questions at the Delhi Airport. Indian Premier League 2020 has started on a positive note in the United Arab Emirates. Ten games have been completed already in the cash-rich league and there are many games that turned out to be nailbiting. Two of the concluded 10 games went to the Super Over as well. Her mother Kaveri Maran is the Joint Managing Director of SUN and is also the highest-paid businesswoman in India.

Pakistan’s leading speedster Hasan Ali has recently has tied the knot with Shamiya Arzoo on Tuesday. Shamia is a Dubai-based Indian girl, who works as an engineer. Hailing from Chandeni Village of Nuh district in Haryana, she has a B.Tech degree in Aeronautical engineering and works as a flight engineer at the Emirates Airlines. Ali is now the fourth Pakistan cricketer to marry an Indian girl after Zaheer Abbas, Mohsin Khan & Shoaib Malik.

The ceremony took place in Dubai at Atlantis, The Palm. Only a handful of people were made a part of the holy matrimony, with only one cricketer i.e. Shadab Khan attending it. According to sources, Hasan Ali wanted both Indian as well as Pakistan cricketers to attend the wedding. However, the latter are busy attending a camp under the leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq, whilst the former, on the other hand, are taking on the Windies in their own backyard.

The news of their affair was making headlines in the cricketing fraternity, for a long time. A few weeks ago, the 25-year old has made an official announcement to the media regarding this matter. He said, “Our families wanted to keep this a low key affair but since the matter has come out in the media I have decided to make an official announcement to ensure they are no speculations surrounding my marriage,”

Apparently, the couple first met in a restaurant. It was also revealed that Ali was the one who had first sent the proposal. What followed the Nuptial was a series of glamorous and beautiful pictures of the event. The hotel was decorated with white flowers and looked extremely prepossessing in its stark simplicity. The wedding was held at around 7 PM, and the reception ceremony is likely to take place in Pakistan.

Both the bride and the groom were donning their traditional attires. While, Arzoo, went for an Indian look in the wedding, Ali, opted traditional Pakistani clothing and was looking magnificent in his black-grey Sherwani. Team India will embark on World Test Championship journey with the two-match series against the Windies on August 22. They have already won the ODI and T20I series on the West Indies tour and will be keen on going past the Caribbean team in the longest format as well. The introduction of Test Championship has brought some exciting changes to the purest format of the game.

The players will wear the jerseys with the name and number on their back. The numbers will also have the Test Championship logo in it and the change looks extremely refreshing. Australia, England, Sri Lanka and New Zealand have already experienced the change. Australia and Sri Lanka have also got off the mark in the points table after winning a match while England earned 8 points after the Lord’s Test ended in a draw.

People have been talking about Test cricket not being relevant, or dying. For me, the competition has gone up two-fold the last couple of years.

“It’s up to the players to take the challenge and go for victories. That’s going to be the essence of this Test championship as well. There will hardly be any boring draws, there will be exciting draws because everyone will want those extra points,” he said while speaking at the West Indies Players Awards night according to Cricbuzz.

Most analysts of the game have agreed to the fact that this World Cup is going to be the most challenging contest in two decades because of the format in which the tournament is going to be carried out. The ICC had limited the number of teams participating in the contest to just 10. Team India one of the prime contenders for the title left for England on May 22 and the pictures they put up before departure are worth relishing.

The format of the tournament this time is such that all the teams will play each other in the Round Robin format, something that happened in the 1992 World Cup- that saw only nine teams contesting for the much-coveted title. The format itself has made the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, starting on May 30, the “most challenging” according to the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

Before departing for the showpiece event in England and Wales, he said that maintaining intensity from the first ball will be key to his side’s fortunes. Following the conclusion of a hectic IPL schedule over the last couple of months, the Indian team assembled together in Mumbai before heading out for the United Kingdom.

The ‘Men in Blue’ look all set for the challenge

The Men in Blue team departed for England from Mumbai on Tuesday night and will play their first warm-up fixture against New Zealand, on May 25 at London. They play Bangladesh in another warm-up fixture on May 28, after which they begin their World Cup campaign. The Indian team will play its first CWC 2019 game on June 5, against South Africa at the Rose Bowl Cricket ground.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team led by Virat Kohli has been having a nightmare IPL 2019 season, with just one win in eight games and is possibly out of the race for the playoffs. However, the team is keeping their hopes up and with the imminent inclusion of South African pacer Dale Steyn, Kohli-led team might hope for a miraculous turnaround.

Despite their on-field performances, RCB is doing everything to keep positive vibes going on outside and this was helped by captain Virat and his better half Anushka Sharma hosting the whole team for a dinner at their apartment in Worli, Mumbai. The images from the party are doing rounds on social media, as players who attended the party shared some amazing pics from the event on their own social media accounts.

RCB team has a field day at Virat-Anushka’s dinner party

Many of the RCB team members were seen having a good time at the event. However, the party despite being exclusive to only Royal Challengers Bangalore members; had a special invitee in Chennai Super Kings captain and Virat’s India teammate MS Dhoni. Dhoni was seen attending the event and having some conversation with Virat, as the Indian team for the World Cup 2019 was announced recently.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Himmat Singh, Kulwant Khejroliya, Dev Paddikal, and other players shared their images with the hosts during the dinner party and the images went viral as soon as they hit the internet. The RCB team is on the last place in the points table of IPL 2019 and will next play Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 19, before taking on Chennai Super Kings at home in M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 21.
